There are so many beautiful locations for a Vancouver wedding, and Sam & Ken chose the beautiful Furry Creek Golf Course for their summer celebration. The golf course has so many gorgeous locations for photos, and the sun decided to peak out from behind the clouds just in time for their ceremony. Their day was not only stunning, but full of love and so many great details.

Some of the most memorable wedding day details:

Sam’s mom made her a custom wedding day clutch with leftover material from her dress alteration and her grandmother’s pearls. It was absolutely gorgeous, and is also a family heirloom that can be passed down. Ken’s last name is Moody, so their wedding hashtag was (naturally!) #bigmood, which everyone made good use of on IG during and after the wedding!

Hosting a Vancouver wedding means beautiful surroundings, lush vegetation and plenty of great photo spots, and – wildlife.

The most insane part of the day (or maybe not, considering we were in the BC mountains)?! A grizzly bear made a surprise appearance during the reception! We were all inside the venue and could safely peek at it from the balcony, so it was an added story to the wedding without being too scary!

I went to high school with Sam, so it was such a fun experience to get to photograph her biggest moments while also getting to reconnect with so many old friends. The entire day was seamless and chill. Everyone especially loved the venue, which has a perfect blend of beauty and ruggedness, while still providing all the amenities you would want for a wedding day.

Furry Creek Golf Course is such a beautiful Vancouver wedding venue, and I can’t wait to photograph another wedding there!
